The ride, not just the specs
Supercaliber is a cross-country race bike with a touch of rear suspension. It stays light and quick, and takes the edge off the rough sections.
It's the bike for riders who want race speed and a little more comfort over a long day.
What makes it special
Supercaliber’s unique frame design ditches traditional suspension hardware so there’s less weight, less maintenance, and less lateral flex. IsoStrut connects the mainframe to the pivot-less seat stays to offer about 80mm of rear wheel travel. This design offers a unique blend of efficiency, traction, and fatigue-fighting compliance that keeps racers fresh and in control.
IsoStrut integrated suspension gives you just enough travel to stay in control. It's fully tuneable like a standard rear shock, but without the weight penalty of a full suspension bike.
Supercaliber SLR is the World Cup lightweight frame. It drops grams by using a higher modulous carbon fiber layup that allows us to use less material, plus we skip internal guide tubes for cable routing, minimizing material and maximizing weight savings.

“A podium contender for any cross country racer”
...this speedster is closer to being the best of both worlds - great pedaling efficiency combined with reasonable comfort and descending capability. Both Vital testers, who regularly race XC and often take on longer endurance rides and events, said they would buy this World Cup-winning bike.

“It’s a full-on racer and a very capable one at that”
Trek's new cross country race bike has the speed racers dream of. Everybody who has ridden the new Supercaliber has come away seriously impressed and wants more time on it. After their first ride, one was already calling it the fastest bike he had ridden – that’s saying something given the recent crop of test bikes that have passed through our offices lately.

“Supercaliber is pretty super”
It’s a hoot to ride even when someone isn’t recording with a stopwatch, and it’s far more capable than its modest travel figures would suggest. As the testing progressed, I found myself pushing the Supercaliber harder and harder, and on increasingly challenging terrain.
